Punderson Manor Lodge & Conference Center is located in the natural splendor of Punderson State Park and is only 50 minutes southeast of Cleveland. The lodge is a historic English Tudor-Style mansion featuring 31 spacious guest rooms, 26 fully furnished two-bedroom cottages and an elegant full-service dining room that boasts breathtaking views of Punderson Lake.

Nature and history abound in this naturally breathtaking environment.  Many guests come from near and far to explore the beauty of the park and the surrounding region. 

The park's history dates back over 12,000 years to the Ice Age when the area was buried under glacial ice. Punderson Lake, one of Ohio's few natural lakes, owes its origin to this massive ice sheet. It is a kettle lake which means it was formed when a large block of ice broke off the glacier creating a depression in the land, which was filled with melted water from the glacier. Punderson is the largest and deepest kettle lake in Ohio.

Diverse Natural Wonders

The aquatic environment of the lake, combined with the surrounding woodlands, gives Punderson a diverse array of natural wonders. The lake is home to a variety of shorebirds and waterfowl including great blue herons, Canadian Geese and wood ducks. Ohio's largest rodent, the beaver can also be spotted around the lake. Great horned owls, white-tailed deer, opossum and raccoons can be found within the park boundaries. In the park, the vegetation is as diverse as the animal population. Wild geranium, buttercups, blue-eyed grass and pennywort are just a few of the wildflowers that inhabit the area.
